Details

Artzaina, the shepherd - Registered brand and design.

A new art of the table... A worthy descendant of the Makila, whose slender profile it takes up, this knife is made of taut lines of chiselled metal. It comes in table and pocket versions in a wide range of noble and precious materials, so you have plenty of choice.

With its elegant, refined line, Artzaina enhances the finest tables and has already won over many chefs, including Hélène Darroze! For this luxury version, the table knives are set with an exceptional material: fossilised blue mammoth ivory. Yes, you read that right. This legendary animal has been extinct for around 4,000 years, but its remains have stayed buried in the frozen soils of the Arctic regions of Europe and North America. When the permafrost thaws in summer, ancient artefacts emerge: skeletons of woolly mammoths, the last species of mammoth to have existed. The bluish hues are natural, caused by the presence of iron phosphate near the remains, which colours the pulp of the animal’s tusks. This is the rarest and most sought-after colour, which makes this set of table knives all the more exceptional.

Case offered for 6 or 12 knives purchased.

Maintenance
